ISLAMABAD: Special Communication Organisation (SCO) And Ufone signed an agreement in Islamabad for bilateral roaming services. Scom Is the largest Telecommunication service in AJK (Azad Jammu & Kashmir) And GB (Gilgit-Baltistan). Ufone is a Pakistani GSM cellular service provider. It was the third mobile operator to enter the Pakistani market.

An agreement between Ufone and SCO was signed at Islamabad for bilateral roaming services. The ceremony was attended by the Chairman Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) Retired Major General Amir Azeem Bajwa, DG SCO Major General Ali Farhan, President & CEO PTCL & Ufone Rashid Khan and other officials of PTCL, SCO & Ufone.

According to the agreement, SCO will provide roaming services to Ufone In AJK & GB for Ufone subscribers and Ufone will provide Roaming for SCO in Pakistan for SCOM subscribers. These bilateral roaming services provide all types of facilities SMS, voice and data.

Both companies already have an agreement since 2008. According to that agreement, SCO subscribers can use their services in Pakistan Using Ufone services.

Rashid Khan( President and CEO PTCL & Ufone ) said, “Our strategic alliance is a win-win situation for both partners and even more importantly, for the customers, This alliance will make sure that resource sharing benefits both organizations and offers superior products and services to the public, improving their quality of life ”.
